Thanks to Southwest, a bridesmaid’s dress doesn’t have to be the “something borrowed” in a friend’s wedding.
A Twitter user name Taylor Kenney made a plea to the airline Thursday, explaining her friend’s dress for a destination wedding was left behind.
“@SouthwestAir help!! My friend is in a wedding on Saturday in Costa Rica but she left her bridesmaid dress here in Houston!” Kenney wrote. “Can we get her dress on flight #1734 tomorrow??? #WorthATry #BestCustomerService”
“We like where your head’s at,” the official Twitter account for the airline replied. “Mind sending us a DM with her info?”
“Did this work?” a Twitter user inquired of Kenney’s post.
“It totally did!!” Kenney replied. “The dress flies out tomorrow morning! Now that is some customer service!”
Friday, Kenney tweeted a friend brought the striped, spaghetti strap dress to Hobby Airport where “@SouthwestAir was there, ready for the hand off!”
“Love southwest!” Kenney added in an additional post.
Southwest also brought followers up to speed.
“UPDATE: The dress has arrived at Houston Hobby! (Shout out to the bridesmaid’s friend Rachel, who dropped it off at the airport this morning. We all need a friend like Rachel.)” its account tweeted.
USA TODAY has reached out to the airline for more information.
Some on Twitter cheered for Southwest’s customer service.
“Great work by Southwest!” a user lauded.
“Not all heroes wear capes,” another praised.
Others appeared to be more emotional.
One shared a GIF that read “I am in control of my emotions. [sobbing]”
Another posted, “This is a roller coaster of emotions and I’m here for it”
