It didn’t take long for Vontaze Burfict to land on a new team.
Just a day after the Cincinnati Bengals parted ways with one of the most polarizing players in the NFL, the Oakland Raiders announced that they signed the linebacker.
NFL Network reported that Burfict received a one-year deal worth approximately $5 million.
Burfict’s seven-season NFL career has been characterized by controversial hits, multiple suspensions and fines, and sometimes stellar play.
With the Raiders, Burfict will be reunited with defensive coordinator Paul Guenther, who was the Bengals’ defensive coordinator from 2014-17.
