Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will appear on the April 1 cover of Time magazine.
The Democratic congresswoman appears looking into the distance with the words “The Phenom” to her left on the magazine cover. The 29-year-old and her rise as one of the most-talked-about members of Congress is the focus of a Time cover story.
Indeed, Ocasio-Cortez, known to some by her initials AOC, has managed to capture interest in Washington — from her upset primary victory over Joe Crowley last summer to her questioning of Michael Cohen. She is the youngest woman ever elected to Congress.
She remains outspoken, particularly on Twitter, and introduced the Green New Deal, a wide-ranging environmental plan, with Sen. Edward Markey, D-Mass.
Ocasio-Cortez was featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine in February for its Women Shaping the Future cover. She appeared along with Rep. Jahana Hayes, D-Conn., Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.
